1. Get A Trim At Least Every Six To Eight Weeks
Every hair care expert I asked recommends that you should give yourself a trim at least every 6 to 8 weeks, in this way you will be able to get rid of any dead ends as well as keep your hair in tip-top condition.
I always cut off at least one to two inch of my hair using a professional curling iron, this is already enough to get rid of split ends. But if you want to keep your hair long, you can try getting layers cut into your hair to eliminate the most damaged parts and at the same time keep the length.
2. Treat It Naturally

4. Do Your Own Hot Oil Treatment
Doing your own hot oil treatment at home is an effective way to keep your hair healthy and the best thing is that it is way lot cheaper.
To do this, just wash your hair as usual and towel it dry. Put a small bowl on top of a pot of hot water, then mix 2 tbsp. of coconut oil. If you have dry hair or suffering from dandruff, add 1 tbsp. of olive oil or 1 tbsp. of jojoba oil if you have any fungal scalp problems.
Apply the mixture to your scalp and massage the hot from the roots to the ends. Warm a towel using a hair dryer and then wrap your hair for 20 minutes. Then wash your hair and style it as usual. Doing this once a month will protect the shafts of your hair
Obviously, you have to be gentle with your hair. Avoid using hot water when you are taking a bath. Don’t comb, brush or put your hair in a ponytail when it is not necessary.
Make sure that you will only use good quality shampoos and conditioners. On days that you will not be going out, give your hair a break from all the styling products that you are using such as waxes, gels, and mousses.
